Our team offers guidance, structured support, and access to community experiences that promote growth and independence. With continuous assistance, medication education, and help using local transportation, we create a stable foundation for residents to move forward with confidence.
Who We Are
We are Halfway House Services, Inc., a nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing transitional housing to adults with a history of mental or emotional disturbances. We operate two resident treatment facilities and an apartment complex in Eugene, Oregon. Halfway House Services addresses the needs of persons with psychiatric disabilities. We want to provide individuals with the skills necessary to achieve their personal goals of living independently
Our Program
Halfway House Services' programs are designed to provide a stable, supportive environment that will help persons with chronic mental illness make the transition from dependency on the mental health system to independent living within the community.
Halfway House Services' programs offer a wide range of activities, which enable residents to choose for themselves those interactions that will best nurture and encourage the development of this new perspective.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophical position is that attitudes of self-respect, confidence, and dignity foster a sense of control over one's life in a feeling of belonging to a community. For this reason, our staff is trained to emphasize and model these values in all of their interactions with the residents. Halfway House Services' staff emphasize their roles as facilitators.
